Developer Note & Disclaimer: This document represents the official legal policy of Borluit.tech. It contains required disclosures under Google Play Developer policies, including COPPA, GDPR, and California Consumer Privacy standards. This Privacy Policy explains how Borluit.tech ("we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, and discloses information when you use our mobile applications (collectively, the "Apps") and our developer website.

1. General Data Philosophy

We believe in minimal data footprint. Most of our applications are designed to work completely offline (such as the Assamese Dictionary and Barna Keyboard) and do not collect, transmit, or store any personal data. For applications that require online accounts (such as Assam GK & Exam Prep), we collect only the necessary credentials required to back up your study progress and leaderboard logs.

2. Information We Collect

A. Personal Data

For the majority of our Apps, no personal data (such as names, addresses, or phone numbers) is collected. In specific Apps requiring sign-in (e.g. Assam GK), we collect your email address and profile username to facilitate account recovery, profile personalization, and leaderboard scoring.

B. Non-Personal Data & Device Metrics

We may collect anonymized diagnostic metadata when our Apps encounter an unexpected shutdown or logic error. This includes:

  • Device manufacturer, model, and OS version
  • App performance metrics (response times, loading speeds)
  • Anonymized crash trace reports

3. Permissions Required by Our Apps

Our Apps request only the permissions strictly necessary to perform their stated functions. Depending on the App installed, these may include:

  • INTERNET: Required to query translations (Anubadok) or load fresh questions and updates (Assam GK, TET Guide).
  • ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE: Used to check if an active connection is available before sending server queries.
  • VIBRATE: Used for tactile haptic feedback during keyboard keypresses (Barna Keyboard).
  • WAKE_LOCK: Used to keep the screen active during live TV news streams (Assam News).

4. Third-Party Services & SDKs

We integrate secure, verified SDKs from third parties to provide analytics, push notifications, and crash diagnostics. These third parties may process anonymous device IDs. They include:

  • Google Play Services: Serves as the core engine for updates, security checks, and licensing validations.
  • Firebase Analytics & Crashlytics: Used to gather aggregated, anonymous usage patterns and monitor stability logs.

5. Children's Privacy

Our utility and educational tools are family-friendly. We do not knowingly target children under the age of 13, nor do we knowingly compile personal data from minors. If you believe we have inadvertently processed children's records, please contact us at support@borluit.tech immediately.

6. Data Security & Retention

Any account data we host (such as study quiz progress) is stored securely on Firebase cloud databases using encrypted transport protocols. We retain your profile scores as long as your account remains active. You can trigger account deletion at any time via our Data Deletion Portal.

We may review and update this policy to reflect modifications to Google Play standards or our application logic. We advise checking this page periodically.
